Press WX button for more than 2 seconds to
activate Weather Alert. When activated the unit
will announce Weather Alert On”in Voice Mode
or signal two beeps in Tone Mode. When in Wx
Alert On Mode, the Wx LED will blink slowly,

If a Weather Alert is received,Weather Alert On
will be heard in Voice Mode and then the
Weather Station broadcast will be heard telling
you about the severe weather.
Caution: Weather Alert will only operate if a Weather Station
is being received and the WxLED is blinking. If the Wx LED

to return. If, after 5 minutes the station is not received,
Weather Alert Off will be heard and the ESD-9220 WX will
stop monitoring.Weather Alert can then be reset by turning
on the Weather Radio and finding a different weather station.
